Kerastase Initialiste - Skincare for Beautiful Hair

Ever heard of plant stem-cell treatment? Here is one product resulting from that research promising loads to a lenglui's hair! But really, from scientific point of view, plant stem cells are really just using plant extract so no biggie there... Still... this serum we are going to talk about ROCKS!! :p

  1. Stronger thicker hair
  2. Smoother shinier hair

pic credit to http://www.gorgeousshop.co.uk/blog/gossip/kerastase-initialiste-new-products/

Just the FYI... iwannabelenglui did not go to any sponsored event... bla-bla-bla for this. This was really a gift from her mummy :p And since we have hair from constant colouring and perm... etc. this was something to try out... Hohoho... after a few weeks of using this, we think it's time to share this to lengluis with coarse or problem hair. Not saying that this would entirely help lengluis with brittle bleached hair, but CONCLUSION = we think consistent use of good Japanese conditioner and Kerastase Initialiste serum is as good as having your monthly in-saloon hair treatment.

Some Credible (non sponsored we think) Reviews:
** hey, amazon reviews are pretty good

After 30 days of use - Pic credit from YouTube Kerastase Initialiste Product Testimonials

Why this conclusion?

  • That teeny high forehead baby-hair almost bald spot is having thicker, longer baby hair now... Okay, so we were really focusing on that spot during the serum application...
  • Dyed perm hair seems to be more manageable and lustre
  • Oh heck... just Google the videos and reviews... (though... tons of sponsored ones which you will find)
  • But... if you've got the extra cash and find that getting in-saloon treatments are a hassle, this is worth a try for about RM180 of a teeny weeny bottle that goes a long way

Coconut Oil for that Sexy Lenglui!

Oh Sexy Lengluis - to the ever sweet tropic coconut!

When we think of paradise on a sunny beachy day in the tropics.... the first image that pops to mind is "the coconut tree" Oooooooooooh... what a relaxing feeling....

But hey! We ARE in the tropics. Malaysia is a tropical paradise so... coconut oil is easily found everywhere. Now why all of a sudden the craze on coconut oil?? See the links below.... and most of all, it helps reduces belly fat!!! SERIOUSLY?!

  Myths Corrected

Coconut oil has long been a secret to beautiful skin, beautiful hair, beautiful body -- if you are not turned off by the smell... Honestly, the smell is OK (except for cooking certain meals). On your hair, believe it or not, the fragrance is quite sweet and light. Tried and tested by iwannabelenglui. And by this we mean "Virgin Coldpressed and Unrefined Coconut Oil"

Coconut oil has small molecular structure so it easily absorbs into our skin. So forget all that myths on getting greasy skin when applied onto our bodies. Tried and tested by iwannabelenglui --> PASSED OK

Coconut oil is great when used in cooking. And it is one of the best oils to use for cooking because it can withstand high temperatures and still retain all that goodness in the oil. "The fat in coconut oil is largely made up of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA). Unlike other saturated fats, MCFA doesn't heighten cholesterol and it can help to protect against heart disease." --> Okay, for this, we are not too sure because it's still an oil and we would NOT go all crazy and ingest huge amount of it all of a sudden in the name of beauty... wahhahahahaha....

Conclusion
  • Great as hair serum in small amounts (use Extra Virgin Coldpressed Coconut Oil so the fragrance is less intimidating and smells umm... almost delicious)
  • Great as a skin moisturiser 'cos its not as greasy as you'd think... absorbs into skin pretty quick too!
  • Great when used to fry your morning eggs --> you would get that tropical breakfast taste to it
  • Great as a heel moisturiser... TRIED and TESTED
  • Wanna feel like a lenglui wahine? Coconut oil baby!!

Why every LAZY lengluis should own a bikini...?

Yessss... As the post title says, why a lazy lenglui should own a bikini!

To begin with, not everyone will sit well in a bikini. Imagine exposing the flab and the uh-huh... not so gorgeous part of your body.... So you're thinking... This post is as crazy as it gets.

There are several reasons why a LAZY lenglui should own a bikini:

  • There is no such thing as an ugly body... only LAZY body owners
  • Bikinis look great on models.... but on us everyday lengluis...? Uh-huh.... riskyyyyyyy.....
  • If you think thinking about working out is going to make you start exercising sooner or later to get that fab, healthy, lean body... think again... THINKING ALONE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
  • When you own a nice bikini, you will want to try it on sometimes (even if it means in front of the mirror in the privacy of your own room... hahahahaha...)
  • And when the try-on process don't look too good, it means its time to do SOMETHING
  • Something like mild EXERCISING, TONING, EATING HEALTHIER AND BEING HEALTHIER
  • Find a sport that is FUN and STICK TO IT! If the sport is a torture... you'll never stick to it... no matter what your brain tells you when you ummm... see yourself in the mirror in that bikini... LOL...
  • Okay... easier said than done... Bikinis don't hide the flab like some pretty clothes do...
  • AND THAT IS WHY A LAZY LENGLUI SHOULD OWN A BIKINI
  • Its a great wake up call to remind us lengluis... the bikini shape stays the same... But on whether we're going to look good in it or not, entirely depends on us!

How to be a natural Lenglui when umm... you're not born with it....

Hohohohoho... lets take a peak into an honest life of lengluis who were not born with lenglui hair, skin, body and features, but are still the everyday beautiful hot chicks we see today. I figured, most of us lengluis have discovered the aid to beauty with the help of the unnatural's of hair re-bonding, permanent hair removal, body shaping undergarments ... and a whole lot more. So if you're the sort-a blur-cased lenglui, this post will describe all of them fake-it pro....

Introducing the top 5 procedures/items that lets us go hiking in the jungle and swimming in the sea with NO make-up and still look super BEAUTIFUL! (disclaimer - I don't suppose the points below are considered make-up... hahahahah....)

  • Hair Re-bonding
    • Almost every Asian lenglui knows that frizzy hair is a no-go
    • Hair re-bonding apparently wreaks the hair structure but hey.... you're gonna look like you have a hair worth a million bucks minus the blow drying, hair spray and hair mousse
    • Even when you're miles away from a conditioner, hair dryer or straightening iron, your hair will still  look glossy and smooth flowing... huhuhuhu...
    • Requires minimal effort of maintenance
    • Tip: Go to a pro stylist so you needn't worry about ending up with a flat top.. LOL
  • Permanent Hair Removal
    • If you're hairy that is...
    • Waxing is a traumatic experience
    • Hair epilation leaves us ingrown hair and red bums all over (and don't forget the pain)
    • Ever felt the pokey-itchy feel after a few days of missing your shave period? Eeeeeek...
    • Permanent hair removal - to a smooth nice skin even after a few days out camping in the mountains

  • Semi-permanent eye-liner and lip gloss tattoo
    • Now, I have no right to comment on this because I haven't been through one (If your features look great with no make up, skip this then baby)
    • Remember, go to a reputable pro... these days beauty tattoos have advanced loads so you needn't worry about ending up with greenish looking eyelids when you're 50
    • After accompanying a really close friend to these procedures... whoaaaaa... the result is really pretty
    • She complains of course of the painful PAIN.... (duh... no pain no gain)
    • But the aftermath... uh-huh... its like you have naturally dark defined eyes and glossy kissable lips
    • After 6 hours of road trip? you still have great fresh looking eyes and its like the all natural lip gloss never left your lips
  • Lasik Eye laser treatment
    • Okay, this one's a point you could debate on...
    • This is a costly procedure and IT'S scary!!! No matter what lenglui's who has been through them say.... Never believe anyone who says there is NO PAIN.... spoken from a true lenglui friend
    • Lol.... But I havent been through one so, ummm..... I'd opt for Iris Enlarging Contact lenses.... Hey, if I had Lasik... then it defeats the purpose of having pretty anime eyes from a beauty contact lenses no?
    • BUT.... imagine having clear vision all the time and skip having to look dorky in front of the hot guy in a football night party
  • Body Shaping Undergarments
    • Okay, so it'd be mighty uncomfortable to go jungle trekking and skydiving in this
    • But, if you've been a good girl and wear them on a regular basis, your body is bound to conform a little to the shape of the garments
    • So even when you're on a field trip without them... your body will play nice and stay that way... until of course the next time you decide that exercise is a better body shaper... lol...

One thing I figured all lengluis know by now.... Nice skin is the mother of all natural beauty... Nothing can help you get a great skin but yourself. A good diet of lots of fresh fruits, veggie and fish, good skincare products and lots of rest... that's the best effort a lenglui can do for better looking skin...

Shiseido Prosynergy Multi Protective Lotion - The Ultimate Lazy Lengluis Hair Treatment?

It's not that we think lengluis should start being lazy and not care for their hair... and just spritz on some super-duper protective lotion and voila! Hair stays perfect!! .... Truth be told..... there is no such miraculous product that does that for lengluis to achieve the ultimate perfect locks. If there was.... guess who'd be the first to jump on the bandwagon to sample it?? LOL.....

That being said, lets do some reviews on Shiseido Prosynergy Multi Protective lotion... Which you lengluis will most probably have sampled if you do hair treatment in any saloon using Shiseido products. The reason why iwannabelenglui is publicizing this product is because:
  • Again, as said always, Japanese products are mighty nice to use
  • They smell reassuringly subtle (never overpowering) and feels good to use
  • Even if the effect is not like whoaa.... they normally do an okay job of trying to do what they claim to do
  • Oh well... if you use Tsubaki shampoo and liked it.... having a Shiseido treatment right at home is a bliss

More info on how lengluis can get their hands on this:
  • It's about RM78 if you go to a saloon which carries this product in KL. E.g; A-Saloon in Pyramid or Empire Subang
  • Notice that the saloon's normally left with only a couple of bottles or sometimes you'd be greeted with the "sorry babe, no stock" look
  • Its RM50++ if you would like to get it direct from Japan from here (except that you'd be paying for shipping)
  • Or if you're not from KL, checkout places like eBay or here

Lets wait for more reviews on this when iwannabelenglui've sampled like half the bottle... lol... As they say, you shouldn't really review a product until you've used like 50% or more of it...

Silk Beddings - To Anti Wrinkle Smooth Skin?

Lengluis would swear by anything that keeps their skin wrinkle free... Even up to the point of changing their beddings to pure 100% silk beddings. Huhuhu... Little would you know... I've been sleeping in silk beddings for more than a year now! Silk pillowcases, pure silk quilt, pure silk quilt cover, uh-huh... And its not because of the wrinkle free skin theory... I just happened to be OBLIGED to purchase them.. Trust me, if you go on a China trip.. you will understand why. LOL....

http://www.silkbedding4u.com/

So what do people claim by sleeping in 100% pure silk beddings?

  • Silk is breathable and has natural hypoallergenic properties making is excellent for those with allergies.
  • Silk either traps air next to the skin to keep you warm in the cold, or draws it away from the body in hotter temperatures.
  • Silk can be naturally resistant to dust mite and have a good effect to sensitive skins.
  • silk is 100% natural, and has lots of amino acids, which contribute to moisture penetrate the skin.
  • Silk pillowcases will enable hair to glide across the pillowcase without breakage.
  • Silk itself has natural moisturizing factors to keep moisture balance, which can maintain hair style and improve hair quality
  • 100% silk pillowcases has fewer amounts of wrinkles than other materials. It is easy to keep your facial creams that you sleep with every night. As far as some experts say, silk has the function of preventing wrinkles because there is a special element to moist the skin without dryness.
  • Silk plays a calming effect on the nervous system, choosing silk bedding sets can be said to be an excellent choice. They not only help people relax during the night, but also bring them absolutely comfortable sleep
Referenced from:
  • You'll feel a kind of calming effect each time slumber comes
  • Definitely helps with my allergies (sinus and eczema)
  • I don't know about the wrinkle and having nicer hair... Looks the same to me... LOL...
  • But... IT DEFINITELY FEELS GOOD to sleep in!
  • Lengluis with trouble sleeping... I'd definitely recommend them for a BEAUTY SLEEP!

Little Japanese cosmetic tricks that grooms

So I figured its time to blog about these few tiny  Japanese products that actually do something to make you look... umm... more groomed.

They come in small packages, but... they work! And if you're a lenglui who carries less makeup on your face, these are tools of the trade. Nude makeup that seem invisible but... behind that.... hohoho... its how we con the guys! muahahahahhahaaa...

  • It tidy up the eyebrows just like how you gel your hair! A-ha! Well groomed brows that stays!
  • A quick drying topcoat that is applied after you've made up your brow
  • If you needn't add on any color (for lengluis with full brows), wear this solo
  • Non-shine matte finish that is resistant to water, sebum and sweat

  • Use it alone to create pale nude lip color so your eyes will get full attention... (diverting attention to your feature that matters)
  • But if you've got cracked lips, do not use this solo, your flawed lips will still show
  • Helps if you've got utterly discolored lips. Otherwise,
  • Apply this before applying any color. After applying color on top of this, your lips will pop! (lol... not literally) But the color will look perfect!
  • There are many other cosmetic brands that carried lip concealers.. Depending on your budget, go google for them!

  • These are like eyelash combs so no more messy looking eyelashes
  • Curl your lashes and apply after your mascara
  • Its like a hairspray for your lashes.. The illusion of naturally curled lashes... hohoho...
  • Lashes stays curled all day...
  • Instantly prevents smudging due to water, tears and oil
  • Wear it solo if you want natural curls without mascara
  • One layer should be good enough... Don't be greedy and slap on like 3 layers of this... Too much would flake...

  • All you need is a pea size... Rub in your palms... and... start the hair arrangement... (^^)
  • Works well when your hair decides NOT to behave
  • And works when all else fail... Eg; serums flatten your hair
  • It a trick to the eyes. Come on... if your hair won't behave, force it to even if its a temp fix... LOL...
  • Oh yeah... Wax are pretty difficult to wash off.. Make sure you shampoo at the end of the day
  • Sold in tiny jars if you just plan to test it out

P/S - I'll add on when something else comes to mind... :p

How to AGE gracefully?

Oh nooooooo.... we're getting older by the minute and we know it!

If you're heading towards the BIG 30 or are already there or way past that... I think its high time we think about aging gracefully.

pic courtesy of http://www.evelinecharles.com/beautymd.php

Its like the been-there-done that time of life where everyone's starting to remind you, baby, you're not young anymore. Come on... no one likes to be older... but its like the one thing we can't avoid... Reversing age? dang... if only that was EVER possible... Forget botox (for now)... screw surgeries.. if you're gonna be going for cosmetic procedures but have trouble climbing the stairs or having to wear dentures too early for your age... ITS NOT WORKING!

Hohoho... But, you've seen ladies who's age are well beyond their looks. Tell me, does Jen Aniston looks 40?? I don't think so... Kate Moss?? Sheesh... she looks fashionable even in a lousy oversized-T... So okie lengluis, we may all start to age but... lets age gracefully!

  • Teeth - TAKE CARE OF YOUR SMILES! Ladies... if there's anything more important than being beautiful naturally is having a usable set of teeth! Flossing regularly, massaging your gums, collagen to maintain gums...? Whatever you do... please... your teeth are IMPORTANT! We wanna avoid dentures as long a we can... huhuhuhu...
  • Dressing - Try not to dress too young or too old for your age. Eg; Stay away from neons and old grandmotherly laces and peasant flowers or gaudy colours
  • Hairstyles - Mid-length is your safest bet. If you've got babyface, you may still pull off the long hair. I bet you've seen countless of mid-age ladies trying to pull of the young-flirty-long-haired look... The older you get... don't go too short or too long.. no lenglui wanna end up impersonating "the ring" or emm.. whatever "tomboyish aunt-ish" look. Work a do that goes best with your best features
  • Losing hair - Yeah... as we age, most of us feel like we're going balder by the minute. Okay, for most, its a figment of our imagination.. But... when the hard cold truth sets in... you'll know when to cut down on hair dyes and take care of your scalp.
  • Yoga - This is the ultimate, lengluis... I'm serious! Every women I know who look way below their age is into yoga. Come on, if you wanna avoid having joint-paints... trouble walking up the steep stairs as you get older... its time to consider yoga...
  • Stretching - stretching in the morning and having some stomach pick me up in the morning like squeezing quarter of a lemon into cold water and downing the glass each morning
  • Hot and cold - This was from some Japanese age old therapy... when showering, alternate between hot and cold... your skin will contract and expand from the hot and cold water... its like exercise for the skin! Of course... emm... this is not advisable for lengluis going through winter in a cold climate...
  • Secret inner wears - As our bodies age... so does our figure! Its not like we're some celeb who can spend 3-5 hours a day at the gym working our butt off for a nice figure. Come on... on average we only have 4-5 hours a week to spend on maintaining my figure! The rest are time for study, work-work-work, family, sleep, bf, friends, social, and tv... Geez... No beautiful-figure lenglui would ever admit this... but... secretly... most of these women.. they invest in that body-shaping girdle/inner wear/thigh buster tights... to keep that body in shape while they're busy doing stuff other than exercising... Those who says its all thanks to good genes... puh-leeese..... what do they know??! hahahhahaa....
  • Keep an active mind - For the couch potatoes like me... huhuhu... its time to reduce your regular dosage of "staring into space sessions". Pick up a new skill... baking, cooking, sewing.. music instrument, blogging... whatever floats your boat...
  • Feets and Hands - When moisturizing... don't forget your feet and hands! Use gloves when dealing with harsh chemicals like detergents... No ones gonna find out your age when the saying "your hands tell your age" is a laugh...
  • Lengluis, add on to this list - and the list goes on.... hohohoho...

The Price Of Beauty - Jessica Simpson

How do you perceive beauty?

Wow... So I can't help but blog about this. This show is set to premier this 15th March 2010. Wouldn't it be great when this shows come on? I'm certainly buying this!

Link to the Preview - The Price of Beauty (Jessica Simpson)

Okay, so now you haven't got the time or bandwidth to watch the preview. So whats this hoo-ha about?

  • Its about Jessica Simpson exploring the world to see how different cultures perceive beauty
  • You may not be that into Jessica Simpson... but come on... if you're reading my post... you'll certainly be interested in this show! I know I am... hahahhahaa...
  • The whole point of the show - what makes the women from different cultures feel beautiful?
  • In the preview, she sneaks some of the her fav parts of the show... Eg; In Uganda, fat is beautiful... Beautiful is BIG and... before meeting your husband you go into a fat hut to become beautiful... I'm impressed already...
  • But its cool.. throughout the whole show, you'll see what women around the world does to achieve superficial beauty. Also, what we perceive beautiful in our culture may be the opposite in another culture
  • The show would be an eye opener for women around the world... Interesting to know that you're not alone on this quest...
  • You know... superficial beauty is not everything..
  • But heck... I'd be one hell of a fan.. hohohoho...

Beauty on a BUDGET

.... seriously... is that possible?

Sometimes I think... we tend to splurge too much on ourselves (I know-I know... guilty as said)... But what happens if the sky decides to come crashing down and.... $$$$ would be the last thing on our mind let alone in or pocket...

Fuuuuuuu... that'd be the start of nightmare days for lengluis in the world..... no? Hey.... not every lenglui you see has that much cash to splurge. You know... life goes on with or without the extra cash.... And not everyone can afford to be a little princess each time paycheck comes... Living a happy life isn't just about superficial beauty... But... heck... I'm getting off topic here.... so now.... how would we budget ourselves and still remain a lenglui..? How do we get through life without that must-have skincare set??

  • Petroleum Jelly (Eg; Vaseline)

They are a really CHEAP super all-in-one! To soften rough skin areas, lib balm, and even wrinkly parts

  • Ultralight Therapy Oil (Eg; Skinlabs Therapy Oil)
You don't need super-expensive moisturisers... Get a simple therapy oil that works on sensitive skin and voila... you may now skip the moisturisers. Works on scars and flaky skin too!

  • Lotsa veggies and fruits (you know... fresh fruits and veggie diet costs way less than meaty and greasy junks)

Yeah... that super expensive meal at the restaurant could have costs way less if you ate super healthy... I don't mean being on a diet... but... fresh fruits and veggies do costs way less and since you're on a budget, I think its a good time to get some antioxidants in and a natural detox for your body

  • Water-water-water
Each time you order a drink, its gonna cost you on every meal. Ever seen the lady with a water bottle in her handbag everywhere she goes? Or the lenglui who just asks for plain warm water rather than ordering a drink? Yeah... you can start calculating how much you're gonna save by just ordering plain water or carrying a bottle of water around with you... Besides, plain water is hydrating, thirst quenching and.... GOOD FOR YOU!

  • Any simple face wash (plain glycerin with virgin coconut oil will do just fine as well)
Face wash needn't be super high quality. As long as you get a good make-up remover, all you need is a simple face wash. But.... always check the ingredients... Some super cheap face wash dumps in a whole load of chemicals in just to sound good. Remember, the key is simplicity. The less chemical compound... the better it is. Au nature l as they say.

  • Only buy clothes/shoes when they are ON SALE
Duh.... you may think... so when the SALE is on... you end up with the same clothes as everyone else? Besides... its hard to get the right sizes that fit in a SALE... Wrong! You'll look good in whatever if your skin, hair and body already looks HOT!
  • Get one single nice classy bag and STICK WITH IT
The problem with us ladies is that... Our bags tend to wear-off fast. And.... everything else on the shelves is gonna look better than your bag... lol.... So we'll end up with a load of bags that emmm... doesn't justify the means of the person owning them. Heck... you're only gonna carry one bag at a time... Du-uuh..... SO, get a good one (yeah... it might cos a little more... or maybe way----more...) Make sure it matches everything else... and will last you through the years. And, STICK WITH IT. Don't be unfaithful............ Be nostalgic! Hahahhahahha...

  • Blackhead Tool
Okay... so you've decided to save money by skipping facial. Hmmm.... thats fine since I haven't been to any facial in years! And... my face is coping just fine. Have your own facial. They don't have to cost a bomb. Besides... all that gunk that goes on your face? They're gonna stay on the outside anyways. You may swear that they actually do something, but... heck... its just cos they FEEL GOOD! And it feels good to have someone do your face for you... Come on... all you need is a simple blackhead tool... and hygiene!

  • Tweezers

pic credit to http://www.adiscountbeauty.com/

I almost missed this out! Sheesh... these are one of the most important tool you'll need and they are really cheap so yeah... cheap and mighty useful. Though be warned... never ever over-pluck. Under-plucking is fine. But over-plucking, is gonna make you look far older than you really are. Whether its used for tweezing your eyebrows (see my post on eyebrow perfection), your teeny weeny barely there side mustache or that sudden single hair growth on inconvenient places.... pain factor? 100% OUCH!! lol....

  • Toothpaste
So now... what about zits? You do need to get a proper anti-ZIT gel or cream right? Think about it... has any of those special pimple gel made your zits vanish overnight? None of mine does... The zit just crinkled and dried out a little... But thats about it. Try applying some toothpaste on your zit. See that its gonna work the same as Clearasil or OXY... lol... Google up for more info... Though emmm... if you've got really bad skin... see below:

REMINDER NOTE:

If you've got ultra-horribly sensitive skin... please. You can try budgeting on any other stuff but do STICK TO YOUR REGULAR SKINCARE that helps (whatever brand that may be, don't budget on it). Nothing beats trying to budget and switching skincare on your already sensitive skin. If you've got your skin in check... don't worry... you'll look good in anything... yes... even the super-cheap-o blouse or bag you're carrying. Know what...? When you look good, you look good in anything.

Spa Trips To Beauty?

For lengluis who do not go to spa this post will give you an insight on types of spas and the kind of stuff you do there. Or rather, what the beauty experts do to you there. Lengluis who frequent spas too often, maybe you'd need to rethink the "too often" part.. Come on, spas are like treats. If you go there too often, its not going to feel special anymore. I feel that spas are like a relaxing short holiday retreat... so, they should stay as the treat that they are!

After going to a few different range of spas, from saloon type spas to 5-star spas... these are the sort of treatment you get in spas...

pic referenced from http://www.carefreetrip.com/blog/see-and-do/relax-its-vegas-baby/

Insights on a typical Spa in Asia:
  • Real relaxing environment with some aroma oil burners around
  • Normally comes with a jacuzzi, a steam room, a sauna and some treatment rooms
  • Korean and Japanese spas have special hot/cold pools and emm.. you'd strut around naked there... Together with everyone else... LOL...
  • You'd usually get treatments like facials, massage, manicure, pedicure, hydrotherapy treatments all in one go
  • You'd usually stay there from 3 hrs to the whole day
  • Most spas don't serve food. Though, in KL there is one that does and you can stay there from 10am to 12am just for the short treat since food is inclusive... (Don't know why, but recently that spa haven't been maintained all that well... but I'm not going to mention any spa names here)
  • Most spas make you sign a package deal.. So extra treatments means extra $$$ spent

What to look for in a spa:
  • Cleanliness, well equip spas and well staffed spas are the best
  • Check the environment... If it doesn't look or feel relaxing, there's no point
  • Peak at the product brands that they use... If it looks dodgy... don't
  • E.g. The massage bed should have a hole through to rest your face in. Otherwise, you'd end up with mighty uncomfortable neck
  • Spas that serve food are great 'cos then it'd be value for money and you get to stay there the whole day with some girlfriends or your other half

Spas in Asia:
  • You have to be prepared to walk around nude in Korean and Japanese spas
  • Their spas are great 'cos you'd feel really relaxed with their cold weather and the utmost warm relaxed feel at the spas
  • If you feel kinda conscious, ask for the mini scrub towel... and cover your umm... shy bits... hehehehe
  • The 5-star hotel spas in Chiangmai, Thailand are great... cos' they are half the price from the one's in KL with the same rating
  • Try avoiding dodgy spas... If their advert or location looks dodgy, don't waste your cash
  • Those in the jungle style Bali, KL, ClubMed spas are actually really nice, though, they come at a price
Conclusion:
  • Spas are a great retreat, when you're relaxed, you'd feel more lenglui... hahahahaha...
  • But don't think you'd turn into a lenglui overnight just by going to spas
  • Spas are like an all-in-one single beauty course with lotsa $$$ going out of your pocket
  • Do DIY spas at home instead... and save the cash for when you feel like a short retreat... That's when your spa trip comes in...

Yet another blog on superficial beauty...

You know how those "pasar malam" aunties and uncles go about calling you lenglui-lengcai? Well, yeah.. I don't intend to turn into those type of lengluis. Lets set it out... 2009 New Year's resolution:
  1. Want C cup (with my new boob pump... maybe..)
  2. Wanna turn into *hotchick* (what the hell.. at least I tried)
  3. Wanna do more charity (been procrastinating too often.. must go to Dr Dhilips)
  4. Wanna do more surfing (I meant the actual surf sport k? Not online surfing..)
  5. Wanna play guitar like Jubing Kristianto (kla... day-dreaming again)
This blog is an attempt to let you in on my little conquests to become beautiful... (though... emm.. haha... beauty is in the eye of the beholder) Unfortunately.. I do believe in grooming yourself to perfection if you've got $$$ or.. if you're determined enough like me... (^^)

Okay, the only reason I'm blogging is because (someone said I needed to do this) and there are not enough beauty blogs that tell us what we need to hear. Before deciding to try something new... I'm always "Googling" to check reviews or any rantings on that certain thing I'd like to make my new best friend. Guess what? I'd even go up to the length of actually using Google translations to read up Japanese, Taiwan and Korean (foreign languages ma..) blogs on some new beauty tool. So for now, Google's my best friend... Hahahhahahaaa....

I hate to sound shallow but, yeah.. this blog's about as shallow as it gets. Its a blog on achieving superficial beauty. Heck.. If you wanna be beautiful regardless in or out, you've gotta put in some effort. Not everyone's blessed with flawless complexion, perfect features... hourglass body, glossy hair, .. Not everyone's poised and charming, and not everyone can handle panic situations calmly... so lets strive to be all those while, at the same time have fun poking and appreciating our own flaws... Know what I think? Its okay to be less than perfect.. our little flaws are always the things that keeps us special.. Letsssss.... be that lenglui!!!
